# Restaurant Style Aloo Matar 
# Aloo Matar ki sabzi
Aloo Matar in IP Ingredients: 
1) Cumin seeds – 1 small spoon 
2) Salt – 1 s spoon ( as per your taste) 
3) Coriander Powder- 2 s spoons 
4) Fresh Yoghurt( plain)-2 s spoons 
5) Roasted Cumin seeds powder-1 s spoon 
6)Garam masala powder- 1/4 s spoon 
7) Cooking oil – 2 big spoons 
8) Red chilies powder- 1 s spoon 
9) Turmeric- 1 s spoon 
10) Ginger/ ginger paste- 1 s spoon 
11) One medium onion- finely chopped 
12) Tomatoes purée- 2 big spoons ( one can make purée from fresh tomatoes also) 
13) fresh coriander leaves- chopped 
14) frozen peas- 1 cup – washed in warm water ( one can use fresh peas also) 
15) 2 medium potatoes- peeled, washed and cut into cubes 
16) water- 1 1/2 cup 
Preparation Method: 
1) pre- heat IP and on sauté button for 7 minutes ( depending on IP you are using) 
2) once heated, add oil , cumin seeds- wait till seeds splatter. Then add onions- sauté till onion turn light brown. 
3) add yoghurt- mix well so that yogurt does not break- add ginger ( or paste) , salt, tomato purée, turmeric, coriander powder, roasted cumin seeds powder, red chilies powder and mix well and sauté till oil oozes out. 
4) after 2 minutes add more sauté time ( if sauté button already off), add potatoes and peas and sauté for one minute 
5) add some fresh coriander and one cup water- let it come to boil and let the mixture boil for 3 minutes 
6) now close IP lid ( off the warm and Sauté button off) and on Pressure cooker button for 7 minutes 
7) after steam pressure is completely out , open the lid, add garam masala powder, mix and dish out – garnish with fresh coriander leaves 
Note: 
1) depending on personal choice , you can add more water for consistency of the curry but please don’t forget to boil the mixture 3-4 minutes after adding water 
2)you can make same recipe in normal pressure cooker also and have 3 whistles .
