Besan Burfi

Besan burfi :
Ingredients:
1) besan – 1 1/2 cup
2) Desi ghee – 3/4 cup
3) sugar – 3/4 cup
4) dry fruits – as per your taste- optional

Preparation:
1) Pre- heat the pan ( or kadai ) and put flame on medium
2) put desi ghee and once heated add besan- change flame to medium- low
3) keep on stirring slowly till besan turn light golden brown- may take 10-15 minutes
4) once besan turn light golden brown and ghee oozes out, add sugar and stir continuously until sugar mixes completely with the mixture
5) Transfer mixture to foil containers ( or container of your choice ). Please make sure the bottom and sides of the container are brushed with ghee
6) at this point if you want to add dry fruits you can
7) let the mixture cool at room temperature for 30-60 minutes , so that the mixture becomes solid and then we can cut them into desired pieces and shapes and sizes
8) enjoy with family and friends
Note: you can also put edible silver leaf on top of burfi after mixture has cooled —optional.
